Hydra Dragoon HSMR
The Dragoon is a very fun ship to fly... but due to its bonuses and specifications, it is NOT recommended for the Wolfpacks HSMR fleet doctrine. The range on the neuts is less than half the optimal range we'll be fighting at most often (or trying to fight at most often), neuts just aren't used very much in the types of battles we fight in this fleet, and it is highly reliant on drones for DPS which are inevitably lost, left behind, or destroyed by bombs.
Of course, the Dragoon's drones also bring a great deal of utility to the Wolfpacks fleet, which is the reason why we decided to put together a suggested fit for those who desire to fly the Dragoon, despite it not being recommended, since there is always someone who wants to fly the non-optimal ship in every fleet :)
Should you decide, despite everything, that you want to fly a Dragoon in this class, be sure to use Hobgoblin drones and not Warriors. Warriors have an issue outrunning themselves at Drone Navigation V which is exacerbated by the Dragoon's drone microwarpdrive speed bonus (which, obviously, wouldn't be a problem if you don't have Drone Navigation V).
- 10% bonus to drone damage and hitpoints per level
- 20% bonus to energy vampire and energy neutralizer transfer range per level
- 25% bonus to drone microwarpdrive speed
You should carry with you:
- A spare set or two of drones in your cargo bay to refill your drone bay with when you inevitably lose your drones.
- A set of short-range crystals

This is a recommended all-T2 fitting. In addition to the recommended minimum skills for this class, you will need Energy Grid Upgrades IV, Energy Emissions I, and the appropriate drone skills.
If you don't have these skills trained, pick a different destroyer to fly. Seriously.
If you do not have the skills (or wallet) to fit T2 turrets, feel free to use T1 turrets.
