The Dominix setup was used to counter the fast cruisers who were using tracking disruptors to counter the effectiveness of the turret based ships.

Notes

1) Timetest: 2 explosive and 2 kinetic large smartbombs against 5 Garde II sentries.

Test setup: Loon in a Dominx with deployed drones. Laurentius in a Rohk with 2 Notos and 2 Rudimentary Concussion large smartbombs.

Result: 55 seconds. Laur has the skill only to level 3 though.

2) Timetest: How long will it take to pop Severs Tempest by 4 Dominixes & Garde IIs?

Test setup: Loon, Granger, Josiff and Hsu Li in Dominixes with Garde Is or IIs, Dr Oozy in a Tempest with slightly less (about 6000) EHP than optimal. All at zero.

Result: 1 minute, 6 seconds.

3) Tactical test, Severs Tempest beeing primaried by 4 Dominixes while smartbombing sentries. 4 smartbombs used to simulate 2 Tempests.

Test setup: Loon, Granger, Josiff and Hsu Li in Dominixes with 2 neuts and Garde Is or IIs, Dr Oozy in a Tempest with slightly less (about 6000) EHP than optimal, with 2 explosive and 2 kinetic large smartbombs and cap booster. All at zero.

Result: due to Domipilots 1) changing between garde and bouncer as the sentries took damage, and 2) two of them using neuts causing the tempest to miss a smartbombcycle here and there, the tempest popped before any Sentries could be destyroyed. However, In a full scale test, 2 smartbombs would still be active on the second Tempest. The tactic might kill off a full set of Garde IIs, but its highly proabable that Bouncer IIs will be operational after the two Tempests are down.

4) Rangetest. How will 2 and 3 RSDs with rangescripts on an Ishkur affect the targetingrange of a sansorboosted Dominix?

Test setup: Hsu Li in a Dominix, Laurentius and Discipline in Ishkurs using RSDs.

Result: 2 damps damped him down to about 71 km. 3 damps to about 52 km. Ishkurs bonused targetingrange is about 80 km.

5) Trackingtest: Would a Dominix with dual omnidirectional trackinglinks and Garde II be able to track an afterburning Ishkur with high angular velocity (going straight up) at 20 km?

Test setup: Loon in a Domix with dual omnidirectional trackinglinks and Garde II deployed. laurentius in an armortanked, afterburning Ishkur.

Result: Garde IIs dones NOT appear to be able to track the afterburning Ishkur.

6) Dronekilling Griffin test. Would an Ishkur just targeting and dampening down a Griffin from 70K, assigning 5 Warrior IIs to the target and immediadely power away (loosing locks and damps) still kill the Griffin?

Test setup: Vinz in a Griffin warped to beacon at 50. Laurentius in a dual RSD Ishkur with afterburner 20K from beacon at the opposite side. Hsu Li, Josiff, Loon and Granger in Dominixes at Zero.

Result: Laurentius targeted Vinz, put dual damps and 5 Warrior IIs on him as he was powering away and up with afterburner. Loosing lock and RSDs before the drones reached vinz they still engaged and killed him. Which means that the Ishkurs need about 1 minute 10 seconds to reach relative safety at 70km from the dominxes.

7) Trackingtest. Will Garde IIs be able to track a cruiser orbiting at 2000 without a speedmod?

Test setup: Laurentius in a Rupture orbiting Hsu Li in a Dominix with Garde IIs deployed.

Result: Garde IIs is not be able to track the cruiser.

Tactical test. A cruiser gank squad against 4 dominixes and a Griffin.

Test setup: Friendly had 9 cruisers: (Deimos, thorax, Rupture, Caracal, Moa), 7 with ecm drones. Opfor had 4 Domix and a griffin. Friendly initially deployed ECM drones and assigned them to each OPFOR ship to reduce incoming damage while MWDing 50 km towards the OPFOR dominixes. after reaching OPFOR group, primary ewar then domis.

Result: Domis smartbombed drones and engaged cruisers on the way in. One cruiser down on approach. Griffin popped immediatley, as 1st domi was primaried. cruisers initiated close orbit, hitting good. Domis pulled sentries, deployed hammerheads and used neuts. 2 cruisers was dead before first domi went down. after second domi destroyed the cruiser firepower was too low and all friendly ships was killed. Its however worth mentioning that a fleet stabber with damnation support would have more than twice the EHP of our Ruptures.
