Attending as an Alumnus

Introduction

Students who have graduated from Agony's courses are welcome reattend the same course, free of charge, whenever they choose as a member of the class alumni. Classes may have additional requirements, responsibilities or options for graduates - where these have been established, they are outlined below.

If you would like to attend a class as a graduate, sign up for the class in the enrolment thread in the normal way and mention you are attending as ALUMNI.

PvP Basic

Graduate students reattending PvP Basic may do so, subject to the following conditions and options:

  1. May attend entire course, or meet class for the 'practical' section, at the usual low-sec staging system, approximately 4 hours after the class' scheduled start time.
  2. Will be expected to assist with 'probe duty' and along with Agony pilots are held responsible for the class' safety when in low sec and 0.0, regarding spotting probes.
  3. May volunteer for gang duties such as Rear Guard, Local, 360. May be called upon to perform one of those duties under some circumstances.
  4. May fly any of the following ship classes:
    1. Any Tech 1 frigate
    2. Electronic Attack Frigate
    3. Interceptor
    4. Destroyer
    5. Interdictor
    6. Covert Ops (PVP-COVOPS graduates only)

Other ship types are at the discretion of the Fleet Commander. Remember that the frigate gang is a low-intertia gang and any ship that slows the gang will not be accepted.

Remember: PvP Basic classes take increasing risks throughout the class as the students gain confidence. It's often considered better for the class to experience a losing engagement, than to go home without having experienced combat - so in some circumstances the risk of flying in PvP Basic is extreme. Only bring a ship you are willing to lose. It may well survive but we cannot be any clearer than that - the risk is yours!
