Hydra Algos HSMR
General Info
The Algos is less recommended than other destroyers for our Wolfpacks class, due to its dependence upon drones for DPS. Despite this, it is still a useful ship in Wolfpacks because of the additional ewar capabilities the ship brings to the fleet in the form of ewar drones.
Bonuses:
- 10% bonus to drone damage and hitpoints per level
- 10% bonus to small hybrid turret tracking per level
- 25% bonus to drone microwarpdrive speed
Remember that you should bring a range of EWAR modules, since we may ask you to change them when we set up the fleet.
Additional Notes
You should carry with you:
- Carry one or two reloads of ammunition, plus a load of short range ammo.
- Carry a spare set of drones in your cargo bay so you can reload your drone bay in station when your drones inevitably get left behind and/or lost to bombs.
Example EFT Fittings
This is a recommended all-T2 fitting. Powergrid is particularly tight on this ship. In addition to the recommended minimum skills for this class, you will need Weapons Upgrades to V and Advanced Weapon Upgrades to IV in order to get this to fit. You will also need appropriate electronic warfare and drone skills.
If you don't have these skills trained, swap out the 200mm armor plate for a 100mm armor plate or tracking enhancer - this will greatly reduce your EHP but is an easy fitting compromise. Alternatively, use a 1% CPU or a 2% powergrid implant if needed for that extra little bit of fitting room, as needed.
If you do not have the skills (or wallet) to fit T2 guns, feel free to use T1 guns.
Fit whatever you want into the spare high slot.
