This is a basic T1 setup for use in a PvP-BASIC Hydra gang.

The crucifier is an excellent electronic warfare platform. With its tracking disruptor bonus, it can single-handedly shut down an opposing turret ship, and is a great addition to any gang. Keep an eye on your capacitor duruing combat, especially if you have relatively low skills - You may need to disengage your turrets in order to conserve cap during a long engagement.

Remember to bring both types of scripts as you may be directed to change them by the FC or EWO.

The "in-the-thick-of-it" Crucifier.  '''This is the recommended Crucifier fit for PVP-BASIC,''' as most of our fights don't have our EWAR ships off at some long range (which would be ideal but just isn't usually possible), and so devoting rigs / modules to range is not necessary.  This version is a little slower, has 50% more EHP, and can still target to the 100km optimal range of the TD's.  The CCC rig is really a preference thing... some people want to be more cap stable, some might want a targeting speed rig, and some might want a trimark (or two) to boost their tank (at the expense of speed).  When flying this fit, you should power out to about 25km's and fight at that range... there is no reason for them to be close, and it gives you the ability to run away easier.  At the same time, this is a very dangerous range to live in against large weapons or falloff bonused weapons.

This is a suggested "anti-sniper" fit.  It targets around 140-165km depending upon your skills and skills of the squad booster, has an optimal range of 120km + 30 km's for the TD's.  While this won't stop snipers sitting at 200 km's, it will disable ships within 165km's which is quickly achievable and seriously evil.

  • Bonuses: 7.5% bonus to Tracking Disruptor effectiveness and 10% bonus to Tracking Disruptor optimal range

The Crucifier is an excellent electronic warfare platform. With its tracking disruptor bonus, it can single-handedly shut down an opposing turret ship, and is a great addition to any gang. When fitting a Crucifier, remember that you are not there as a DPS ship - your focus should be on maximizing the effectiveness of your tracking disruptors. You should carry with you:

  • A mix of short and long range ammunition. (Multifrequency for shortest range, Radio for longest range)
  • One each of both scripts for your tracking disruptors

We have several suggested fits for the Crucifier, depending upon your flying style and the gang you are flying with.

This is a suggested low-skill all-T1 fit; it does require Electronics Upgrades I. With the afterburner and guns not running, this fit is cap stable; with afterburner and all three tracks activated, your cap will last at least 3 minutes. With this fit, you can target at 101km (83km if you drop the ionic field rig). Your tracking disruptors will have an optimal range of 69km plus 22km falloff (91km total).

Alumni Only: Unlike many of our other suggested fits, we don't have an Alumni-specific recommended fit for the Crucifier. The T2 fit listed above is ridiculously effective, and quite recommended.
