Hydra Crucifier
General Info
- Bonuses: 7.5% bonus to Tracking Disruptor effectiveness and 10% bonus to Tracking Disruptor optimal range
The Crucifier is an excellent electronic warfare platform. With its tracking disruptor bonus, it can single-handedly shut down an opposing turret ship, and is a great addition to any gang. When fitting a Crucifier, remember that you are not there as a DPS ship - your focus should be on maximizing the effectiveness of your tracking disruptors. The best way to fly the Crucifier, as is true of any of the Disruption Frigates, is at the optimal range of your EWAR modules, not the optimal range of your guns. One good thing to use your guns for is to blow up any drones sent after you.
Keep an eye on your capacitor during combat, especially if you have relatively low skills.
Additional Notes
You should carry with you:
- A mix of short and long range ammunition. (Multifrequency for shortest range, Radio for longest range)
- One each of both scripts for your tracking disruptors

This is a suggested T1 fit; it does require Electronics Upgrades I. With the afterburner and guns not running, this fit is cap stable; with afterburner and all three tracks activated, your cap will last at least 3 minutes.
With this fit, you can target at 101km (83km if you drop the ionic field rig). Your tracking disruptors will have an optimal range of 69km plus 22km falloff (91km total).

This is a suggested T2 fit, which is downright wicked. Not only is it cap stable with everything on, you can target out to 126km, and your tracking disruptors have an optimal of 119km (plus falloff of 33km)!

Alumni Only: Unlike many of our other suggested fits, we don't have an Alumni-specific recommended fit for the Crucifier. The T2 fit listed above is ridiculously effective, and quite recommended. Alumni are welcome to drop the afterburner for a microwarpdrive, but you'll have to plug in a 1% or 2% powergrid implant in order to get a microwarpdrive to fit.
