General Info

Bonuses: 10% bonus to Small Energy Turret capacitor use and 5% Small Energy Turret damage per skill level, 80% reduction in Propulsion Jamming systems activation cost.

The Executioner is very fast, making it well suited to speed-tanking even when only fit with an Afterburner. It has a nice even slot layout, with 4 highs, 3 mids and 3 lows, creating a lot of flexibility in fitting - you can even fit a small shield tank if you wanted to. Like most of the Attack Frigates, the Executioner works very well at both short and long ranges. Because of the nature of the Hydra fleet, we recommend fitting to an optimal range of greater than 6km to take advantage of the Executioner's bonuses while staying out of range of the many smart-bombing battleships that are thrown at our fleet during the PVP-BASIC class.

Remember that you should bring a range of EWAR modules, since we may ask you to change them when we set up the fleet. For the full list of modules to bring, see Recommended Modules for PVP-Frigspec.

Additional Notes

You should carry with you:

  • Optionally, you may also want to carry spare short-range and long-ranger crystals to adjust your optimal as needed.
  • Carry both kinds of scripts for any electronic warfare modules that need them

Example EFT Fittings

This is a recommended all-T1 fitting. The Executioner is pretty tight on CPU, so in addition to the recommended basic skills listed in the class reading material, you will need to train Electronics to level 5 in order to use the fits listed below. If you don't have Electronics 5, switch out the Medium Modulated Energy Beam I guns out for the smaller Dual Anode Light Particle Stream I guns. In order to fit two rigs, you will also need Engineering 5 and Energy Weapons Rigging to level 2 (you can fit one rig with Engineering 4).

[Executioner, Hydra T1]
Pseudoelectron Containment Field I
Type-D Restrained Overdrive Injector
'Skadi' Coolant System I

J5 Prototype Warp Disruptor I
1MN Monopropellant Enduring Afterburner
Phased Muon Sensor Disruptor I, Targeting Range Dampening Script

Dual Anode Light Particle Stream I, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Dual Anode Light Particle Stream I, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Dual Anode Light Particle Stream I, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
[empty high slot]

Small Energy Burst Aerator I
Small Energy Locus Coordinator I
Small Energy Metastasis Adjuster I

This is a sample T2 fit, which will require more advanced skills:

[Executioner, Hydra T2]
Damage Control II
Overdrive Injector System II
Heat Sink II

Faint Warp Disruptor I
1MN Monopropellant Enduring Afterburner
Balmer Series Tracking Disruptor I, Optimal Range Disruption Script

Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
[empty high slot]

Small Energy Burst Aerator I
Small Energy Locus Coordinator I
Small Energy Metastasis Adjuster I

Alumni Only

Alumni Only: ' The following suggested fits are for Alumni ONLY.

In this fit, we swap out the afterburner for a microwarp drive. You would fly this almost like it was an interceptor, pulsing the microwarp drive to get into point range then holding down the target while it dies. Students should NOT use this fit, as microwarpdrive = death until you are familiar with evading bombs and smart-bombing battleships.

[Executioner, Hydra Alumni]
Damage Control II
Tracking Enhancer II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

5MN Y-T8 Compact Microwarpdrive
Warp Disruptor II
Balmer Series Tracking Disruptor I, Tracking Speed Disruption Script

Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Scorch S
Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Scorch S
Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Scorch S
[empty high slot]

Small Energy Locus Coordinator I
Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Small Processor Overclocking Unit I

Alternatively, this fit is quite solid for tackling roles and has a small active tank:

[Executioner, Hydra Alumni]
Damage Control II
Small Armor Repairer II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II

Limited 1MN MicroWarpdrive I
'Langour' Drive Disruptor I
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I

Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Scorch S
Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Scorch S
Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Scorch S
Small 'Knave' Energy Drain

Small Energy Burst Aerator I
Small Energy Locus Coordinator I
Small Energy Metastasis Adjuster I
