This is a basic T1 setup for use in a PvP-BASIC Hydra gang.
 
  
Adjust the 2 Scripts as directed by the FC or EWO.  You can swap one of the Cap Power Relays in the lows for something else, such as a nanofiber, in which case your cap will last about 2.5-3 minutes. Carry extra drones in cargo to refill in stations between fights on long roams.

Due to the high calibration requirement of the dampener strength rig, fitting 2 of it will leave you unable to fit a 3rd rig, although this will give you the highest possible dampener effectiveness.

This is a suggested T2 fit, which is downright wicked.  Not only is it cap stable with everything on, you can target out to 132km, and your dampenders have an optimal of 76km (plus falloff of 90km)! Alternatively, you can drop one of the Dispersion rigs for a Small Ionic Field Projector I rig, resulting in a targeting range of over 165km, although your dampener's optimal will drop down to 65km, you'll still have a falloff of 90km.

The Maulus is an excellent electronic warfare platform. With it's bonus to sensor dampeners, many ships will be dead before they can establish a target lock. When fitting a Maulus, remember that you are not a DPS ship, your fits should focus on maximizing your dampening ability.
